In this video, my (wine)friend Nelleke Maris presents one of her favorite wines: The “Guindalera Mountain Wine” from the Calvente winery is from Granada, Andalucia. It’s made of grapes from the Moscatel de Alejandria variety, from 120 year old vines, grown on slate soils in 1100 meters altitude.
Since Nelleke imports wines from Southern Spain to the Netherlands we also have a small chat about some other wines from the Estremadura and Sierra the Gredos. I hope you like our talk and might get interested in trying these wines.
