This maple wine recipe is slightly sweet, smoky, and super easy to make! Inspired by Acerglyn (Maple Mead) I wanted to see if I could make a Mead like recipe without using honey. Fermenting maple syrup never tasted so good!

Recipe for 1.5 gals (~5.7 L):
– 1 Gal (~3.8L) Distilled Water
– 5 lbs (~2.3kg) Maple Syrup
– 3 tsp Malic Acid
– 1.5 tsp Tartaric Acid
– 1/4 tsp Wine Tannin
– 1 tsp Yeast Energizer (or DAP + Fermaid O)

-Red Star Premier Blanc Yeast
______________________
Ferment for 2 weeks
Stablize with Potassium Sorbate and Potassium Metabisulfite (Campden Tablet)
Wait one day and Backsweeten with Maple Syrup to your liking

Original Gravity: 1.100
Final Gravity: 0.996
ABV: 14%
