This week we are visiting Robe in South Australia.
A town that is known for its beautiful landscape, historic buildings and their spectacular locally sourced seafood. But one thing we know very little about is their wineries.

Our team packed up the car and made the long drive out to Robe to explore what hidden cellar door gems are in town.

We stopped in at a local Cellar Door, Karatta Wines, which to our surprise was also an art gallery! – Karatta Wines Fine Arts Gallery Here we met with the owners of Karatta Wines, Sam and Peg Woods to do a first-ever wine tasting in Robe of their emerging varieties including ‘Lost Ram’ Syrah, ‘IBRIDA’ Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon and ‘Frog Island’ Fume Blanc to name a few.

We are joined by the winemaker and a familiar face, Richard Bate, who describes the process and thought that goes into each of these wines while we drink and pair them with delicious local foods.

Thank you to our guests on the show Sam and Peg woods, Richard Bates and Art Gallery Curator Terry Johnson for a fantastic day in Robe!
