Hello my friends! This is painting number four in my wine inspired series…this one is called Petite Sirah, which is a red wine grape variety that makes dense, inky purple wines, popular for blending. The colors and recipe I used are listed below.

Paints used: Fine Touch Napthol Carmine, Deep Violet and Modern Masters Olympic Gold. Each of these were mixed with 1 part paint, 2 parts Floetrol and 1/2 part water plus a bit more water if necessary to thin.

The base was mixed 3 parts paint, 5 parts Floetrol and 2 parts water. I used Artist’s Loft Flow Acrylic White.
