In the last 10 years, Prosecco has taken the sparkling wine world by storm. But the incredible commercial success of basic Prosecco DOC has overshadowed the dazzling diversity that exists not only in Italian sparkling wines made throughout Italy but also within the Prosecco universe itself.

During this one-hour webinar Flavio Grassi DipWSET, Director and Educator, AccademiaVino, explored the different expressions of Prosecco, the uniqueness of Lambrusco and the elegance of Franciacorta, mentioning significant examples of sparkling wines from other parts of Italy.

We also hear a contribution by Stefano Gava, head winemaker for Villa Sandi.

During the webinar Flavio tasted the following three wines:
1. La Rivetta Cartizze di Valdobbiadene Cartizze Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut, Villa Sandi
2. Lambrusco Reggiano DOC “Concerto”, Medici Ermete
3. Franciacorta Brut Satèn, Ferghettina
