The production of this video was possible due to a dozen of Korean importers funding and supporting this project. I can’t even count the meetings I’ve had with all the importers, to make this project a thing. So dozens of importers submitted hundreds of wines for the project. And as we’ve said many times in the video, the judges of those wines, Peter and I, were completely oblivious as to what they were. That was the whole point of this project. Every individual bottle were concealed with paper bags during the tasting, so we couldn’t possibly guess what they were beforehand. It was, in my words, a ‘perfect blind tasting’. Therefore, importers couldn’t just send any wines to promote them as they want. they sent their best wines, and we didn’t know anything about it until we tasted them. That’s how the whole thing was done. Of course, with dozens of importers, some of them sent a lot of wines and some of them just a few. The deal was like this: importers with a lof of wine selected during tasting would have to provide more supports to the production of our content, and vice-versa. When none of their wines were selected, the importers weren’t charged anything. Not even an entry fee. It was completely free. So in summary, each importer had a choice as to participate in this project and how many wines to submit, but nothing else. We did our tasting completely blind, but importers were promised to give supports proportional to the number of wines selected.
That was the behind the scene of all this. So with those 52 wines selected, I can be sure to say we’ve chosen them without prejudice.
So all the wines selected, I’ll be bringing them wherever I go, drinking them with all the wonderful foods around the world. You’ll be able to watch that in my channel, since I’ll be filming all of it!~
