In 2002 the Lede Family purchased sixty acres and a winery in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, renaming the estate Cliff Lede Vineyards. Cliff hired superstar viticulturalist David Abreu to replant the vineyards.

A 14-acre vineyard planted with a dominance of Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc has produced a ripe, perfumed wine. Still showing its wood aging, it will nevertheless develop well, emphasizing the ripe black-currant fruits and jammy richness.

Planted in 1964 the Nielson vineyard lies just south of the famous Bien Nacido Vineyard and has mature vines with carefully selected clones of Pinot Noir.
